Dentures

A denture is a removable plate carrying false teeth. A full denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw, and a partial denture fills gaps between the teeth you still have. Dentures are usually the least expensive way to replace several teeth, and implants and bridges are the alternatives.

What happens

  1. Assessment

We examine your mouth, check the health of the gums and any remaining teeth, and talk through the options and costs.

  2. Impressions and try-ins

Impressions are taken, and over several visits the denture is tried in so the fit, the bite and the look are right before it is finished.

  3. Adjustments

New dentures usually need small adjustments in the first weeks. Those review visits are part of the fee.

What this covers

  • Full acrylic dentures
  • Partial dentures
  • Relines and repairs
  • Adjustments after fitting

Things worth knowing

  • It takes time to get used to a new denture, especially for eating and speaking.
  • Gums and bone change shape over the years, so dentures need relining or replacing from time to time.
