Careers
Working at Demo Dental Co
We're a three-dentist general practice in central Melbourne. We'd like to hear from dentists, hygienists and oral health therapists who are thinking about a move, now or later.
Current roles
Associate dentist
Part time
Two or three days a week, including one Saturday morning in three, starting early 2027. New graduates are welcome to ask.
What working here is like
Pay
Associate dentists are paid 35–40% of collections, depending on experience, with lab fees split evenly. For the first three months there's a guaranteed daily minimum while your book fills.
Hygienists and oral health therapists are paid an hourly rate set by experience.
Workload
We see around 60 new patients a month, mostly from Google searches and referrals from existing patients. A new associate usually has a full book within three to six months. A check-up and clean is booked for 45 minutes.
Hours
Rosters are built around the days you'd like to work, from two days a week. Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings are shared on a rotation. There's no on-call after hours.
Clinical setup
Three surgeries, each with digital X-rays, and an OPG and an intraoral scanner shared between them. Cloud-based practice software with online booking. Each dentist works with their own dental assistant, and two reception staff look after bookings, recalls and health fund claims.
Development
Dentists in their first two years meet Dr Priya Raman, our principal, for a case review each week. Each dentist has $2,000 a year and three days of leave for CPD. We support special interests in implants, clear aligners and children's dentistry.
The team and the area
Three dentists, a hygienist, four dental assistants and two reception staff. The practice is in the Melbourne CBD, a short walk from trams and trains. Many patients work nearby, so early mornings, lunchtimes and Thursday evenings are the busiest times.
Ask for a confidential chat
A confidential chat, no CV needed. Your current practice won’t hear about it.
You can talk with our principal about the clinical side (patient load, mentoring, the way we practise), our practice manager about rosters and admin, or both. Say which in your message.
