What you’ll pay

With private health insurance

Extras cover pays a rebate for each item number, up to your policy's yearly limits. What's left is your gap, the amount you pay. Waiting periods and limits differ between policies, so check yours with the item numbers from your quote.

Without insurance

You pay the fees on this page, on the day. For larger treatment you can pay in instalments instead (see below). That doesn't change the total.

Medicare and children

Medicare doesn't cover dental care for most adults. Children eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule are bulk billed for the treatment it covers, so there's nothing to pay up to the limit. Services Australia can tell you if your child is eligible and how much is left.

Concession cards

If you have a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, you may be eligible for public dental care through community dental clinics. Dental Health Services Victoria can tell you where to go.

Health funds and payment

We claim from your private health fund on the spot with HICAPS, so you pay only the gap on the day. Bring your fund card.

Paying

EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. We don't take cash. For larger treatment plans, payment plans are available, and we explain the terms in writing before you agree to anything.

About these fees

These fees are a guide for the treatment described. Your written quote is what you pay, and we won't add to it without asking you first.

Most dental treatment is GST-free. Teeth whitening is cosmetic, so its fee includes GST.

Item numbers are from the Australian Dental Association's schedule. Health funds use them to work out your rebate.

Fees last checked Friday 9 October 2026.
